Books I’ve Read in 2024
Today’s post is for the books that I read this last year. Now let me be clear: I'm not an avid reader. And that’s okay. I don't read like some people can read 50 books, 70 books in a year. That's just not me. But I still value it and love it and just do what I can. My goal in 2024 was to read one book a month (besides my daily devotional books in the morning). And guess what? I did that! And some months I even read more than one book…which ended up being 28 books in total!
This goal helped me be more aware and intentional of how I spend my time. Rather than scrolling mindlessly on my phone, I would pick up a book. I’d pack it along in the car while I was waiting at school drop off. I’d read a chapter to relax before I went to sleep. All these acts really helped develop a good habit!
And icing on the cake: I didn’t track it, but I did listen to TONS of podcasts. I have a lot of drive time in the car getting the kids to school each day, running errands, and even at home when I’m doing chores like vacuuming, doing dishes, baking, etc. So I’m really proud of myself for using that time wisely to listen to things that help me learn and grow (and be entertained).
Anyways, I typically like to read two books at a time: one fiction and one nonfiction. The fiction makes for a nice “escape” while the nonfiction helps me to learn new things. It’s a fun balance that works for me!
So let's look back to 2024 where I'll share with you all the books that I read…they were all winners!
